Checklist for international students
Before leaving for Italy
- Fill in the application form found on the web site www.univpm.it and send it to Ripartizione Relazioni Esterne, Piazza Roma, 22, 60100 Ancona, Italia.
- Ask the International Office at your own university to send the Italian International Office a letter or an e-mail to confirm that you have been selected to study at UNIVPM as an Erasmus student.
- Apply for accommodation in the Ersu student houses or in the university flats, and pay the registration fee ASAP. Further information and the application form are available at www.univpm.it
- Book a place in the youth hostel if required.
- Get the necessary insurances, especially health care. EU citizens: remember to get the E-111 or E-128 form from your local social security office.
- Check if you need a visa.
- Bring your passport with you, even if you are from the EU. You might want to visit other countries, while here.
- Inform the International Office about your arrival date.
- Check the web site about the Italian language course and contact the CSAL (Centro Supporto Apprendimento Linguistico - Support Centre for Language Learning) for further information you might need to apply.

After arrival in Ancona
and while here
- Register at the International Office. (Ripartizione Relazioni Esterne, Piazza Roma 22, Ancona). You have to bring 3 passport photos and your ID or passport with you.
- Apply for the refectory card at the ERSU office (Vicolo della Serpe, 1 Ancona)
- Execute the contract for accommodation in the student house or in the university flats and pick the key up.
- Apply for Student Card (Libretto Universitario) at the International Office (Ripartizione Relazioni Esterne).
- Get a residence permit from the main police station.
- Contact your professor and course lecturers if necessary.
- Get a bus pass from the Conerobus office, in via Bocconi,35 if you need one.
- Get an Italian mobile connection. It's cheaper.
- Be active and participate. There are a lot of happenings organised for international and Italian students... also all ideas for new happenings are welcome!
Before leaving Italy
- Return the key of your flat to the Ersu.
- Return your Student Card ("Libretto Universitario") to the International Office and confirm the date of your departure.
- Ask the International Office for a transcript of your examinations and for a declaration about your study period at UNIVPM.
