 Agreement for cooperation between the President of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Professor Dr.Tavares, and the Rector of Università degli Studi di Ancona, Prof. Ing. Marco Pacetti, considering that cooperation between the two institutions

Will promote the development of research and other academic and cultural activities in both institutions, hereby agree on the terms of this document:

Clause1

The Universidade Estadual de Campinas and the......agree to promote

Cooperation between the two institutions in fields of mutual interest as follows:

exchange of faculty and research staff members;
execution of joint research projects;
promotion of scientific and cultural events;
exchange of information and academic publications;
exchange of students;
Clause2

In each of the above instances, both instituons shall prepare a detailed program outling the conditions to be observed in implementing Clause1, which shall be attached as an addendum to the general term of agreement.

Clause3

Each institution shall seek external financial resources in order to implement programs of cooperation.

A program to be implemented under Clause2 will not come into effect unless funds have been provided for it.

Clause4

Researches and students participating in the programes under the terms agreemt shall obtain appropriate international heath insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation costs during their stay abroad.

Clause5

This cooperative agreement will come into effect as of the date of its signing and will be valid for a period of five yeasr.

The period of validity can be extended with the mutual consent of both institutions.

Clause6

This cooperative agreement may be modified with the mutual consent of both institutions.

Upon agreeing on these terms, the two institutions sign the present document in duplicate, being one copy in Portuguese and one in English.
