CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
UNIVERSITA' POLITECNICA DELLE MARCHE - Ancona - Italy

AND

I.S.T.A. - Kinshasa - Congo

Prof. Marco Pacetti, Rector of the "Università Politecnica delle Marche" - Ancona - Italy, authorized to draw up and sign the present document by the Academic Senate of Ancona and the Director General of I.S.TA. of Kinshasa deeming the development of direct cultural and scientific co-operation to be mutually advantageous to both Institutions and in order to strengthen such co-operation, agree on the following issues :

Article 1 ,

The co-operation shall commence in the field / s of

a) exchange of teaching, researching and technical personnel for workshops, seminars conferences and common research ;

b) exchange of students within integrated study programmes ;

e) exchange of information, documentation and scientific publications ;

d) use of complex technical scientific apparatuses.

Article 2



Medical insurance for mobility students and researchers will be provided according to the current norms of the host country. All partners must be sure that visiting students and researchers are provided with a form issued by their own country, or a similar document. In case there are no international agreements for medical insurance, the sending institution will provide an ad hoc medical insurance policy.



Article 3

Each structure will elect his own representative. The two representatives have to decide the research programme and the relative source of funding and to verify the achievement of the mentioned aims.

Article 4

Settlement of controversies concerning the interpretation and fulfilment of the agreed terms and conditions shall be entrusted to an Arbitration Court made up of three members, two appointed respectively by each party, and the third chosen by mutual consent.

Article 5

The text of the present protocol can be modified at any time by mutual agreement between both Participants, and it is valid for five years, and it shall be automatically renewed for equal periods of time.

Any modifications shall be the subject of a written communication by the interested part, observing at least a six-month notice. In case of cessation all the actions described by the present document, started but not completed, must be brought to an end.

Article 6

The agreement will be signed in two originals. Each Institution will keep a copy in original.
