Cooperation agreement between

And
GDANSK UNIVERSITY (UNIWERSYTET GDANSKI),
THE UNIVERSITY OF ANCONA
And
GDANSK UNIVERSITY (UNIWERSYTET GDANSKI),
In accordance with the principles of the United Nations Organizatior to which Italy and Poland belong, as well as in accordance with sucurity and Cooperation in Europe signed by both countries named abovo, the following agreement has been concluded between the University of ANCONA and the University Schools in Gdansk.

The agreement is aimed at further development of mutual friendly relation between faculties, scientific staff and students from ANCONA and from Gdansk as well at promotion of research and of education of young scientifts.

The scientific cooperation will be accomplished through the following activities:
The cooperating Universities will be exchanging scientific pubblications, informations aboute the scientific pubblications, research programes, study curricula and syllabi of the courses within the cooperation.
In the field of cooperation between appropriate Faculties, Departments, Istitutes, Centers and Laboratories wherever it would be possible and advantageous contracting parties will coordinate topics of scìentific research and will carry out joint research.
The cooperating Universities will practice exchange of textbooks, manuals, other instructional material as well as software and laboratory equipment for teaching purposes.
The University of Ancona and the Academic Istituons in Gdanks will exchange professors and lecturers to present lectures. Seminars and research reports, particuìrarly in areas of latest achievements in scienze, technology, and arts. The fares between Gdansk and Ancona will be paid by the sending University, the costs of lodging and allowances as well as travel costs within the receiving country by the receiving University. All the cooperating Universities will promote individual plans of their facultty and research staff to arrange visits without foreign currecy exchange on the basis of specific agreements between individuals concerned.
The cooperating Universities will mutually aid each other to instruct researches and teachers in preparation of scientific dissertations by offering facilities for access to materials, retrieval and search, to take graduate and post-graduate students research, in order to accomplish ceetain projects or conduct lectures. For this purpose the cooperating parties will delegate their faculty or research staff members to the other to carry out projects or research work in laboratories of the other Universities, to prepare theoretical papers or monographs, etc. According to the coordinated specific tasks as mentioned above. These delegations can last for shorter or longer periods, usually between one and 12 months. Travel costs, the costs of stay, tuitition and any medical treatment can be paid by either University within limits determined by laws of both countries, and in the case of the Academic Istitutions in Gdansk also by the rules of the Ministry of National Education of Poland.
The cooperating Universities will invite faculty, research staff membrs, and students to active particiapation in scientific congresses, meetings, conferences and celebration organized in Gdansk and in Ancona. Appropriate advance information aboute such events will be mutually provided.

The Cooperation Agreement is to be signed by the Rectors of the University of Ancona and the Academic Istitutions in Gdansk for a period of six years. It can be altered or terminate at any time at the request of one of the sites expressed in writing six months in advance. After the period of six years the agreement is extended automatically for another six years period unless a contrary advance notice had been given after five and half years of each such period. The above mentioned specific plans of cooperation should be prepared as soon as possible after signing the Agreement, and then renewed at appropriate time intervals.

The Agreement comes into force after it is signed by the Rectors of the XPP Universities and Academic Schools concerned.
