PREAMBLE

The Rector of the "Università Politecnica delle Marche" and the Rector of the "Ornar Almukhtar University", willing to reinforce their academic relationship and to establish new co-operative ways, agreed the following issues:

Article 1

The present agreement has been designed to facilitate University co-operation in both academic and research fields during the three cycles of higher education in common areas.


Article 2

In order to develop this co-operative programme, both parties agree to:

1.   exchange the results of their pedagogie experiences (seminars, courses, etc.);

2.   inforni the other party about the congresses, debates, scientific meetings and seminars organized by each University, and exchange those documents and publications resulting from these activities;

3.   foster, by respecting the laws in force in each country, the participation of the teaching staff of the partner University in courses, meetings, seminars, symposiums and conferences organized within the yearly programmes of co-operation;

4.   foster the exchange of lecturers for a fixed period of rime, being academic or research activities their main objectives. The exchanges will be regulated by the agreements between the departments involved.

5.   accept students from the partner institution, provided they meet the in-force requirements established by the host University and under fixed suitability conditions. As regards accident insurance, the students will be subject to the rules in force at the receiving University.

Article 3

Medicai insurance for mobility students and researchers will be provided according to the current norms of the host country. In case there are no international agreements for medicai insurance, the visiting person can provide for a medicai insurance policy by himself or nave it issued by the sending institution.

Article 4

The specific co-operative programmes shall be drawn up annually and attached to the agreement.


Article 5

Both institutìons bave to decide the research programme and the relative source of funding for its
fulfilment.                                                                      '                                                           


Article 6

1. Each structure will elect its own representative. The two representatives have to decide the research programme and the relative source of funding. They will also have to verify the achievement of the mentioned targets.

2. The representatives shall draw up the annual work calendar and deal with unsettled            questions. They shall meet alternatively at both institutions unless otherwise stated.

Article 7

The agreement shall be forwarded to each institution's Government Bodies and signed by their principals. The agreement shall come into effect once signed by the parties.

Article 8

The agreement duration is linee years.Any extension must be established by consent of both parties.

Article 9

The agreement may be withdrawn by any of the parties at any tìme provided a three-monm notice is
given.

Article 10

Any modifìcation to the agreement, made upon consent of both institutions, must follow a
procedure identical to that of the originai agreement.

Article 11

Signed in two originate. Each Institution will keep a copy in original.
