Agreement between  THE UNIVERSIT À POLITECNICA DELLE MARCHE (UNIVPM) - (Italy)  and  THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE ARTEVELDEHOGESCHOOL - (Belgium)

PREAMBLE

The principal of the Università Politecnica delle Marche and the
Principal of the University College Arteveldehogeschool (Gent/Belgium) are
willing to reinforce their academic relationship and establish new cooperative
ways. They have come to the following agreement.

ARTICLE 1

The present agreement has been designed to facilitate university cooperation in both academic and research fields, during the three cycles of higher education in common areas.

ARTICLE 2

In order to attain this cooperative programme, both parties agree to:
1) Exchange the results of their pedagogy experiences (seminars, courses, etc,).

2) Inform the other party about the congresses, debates, science meetings and seminars organized by each university, and exchange those documents and publications resulting from their activities.

3) Promote, according to each country's regulations, lecturers' participation in courses, conferences, seminars and congresses organized by the sister university, as stated in the yearly cooperative programmes.

4) Promote lecturers' exchanges for a certain period of time, being academic or    research activities their main objectives. Exchange shall be subject to the  agreement of the departments involved.

5) Accept students from the sister institution provided they meet the requirements in force established by the host university and under suitably established conditions. As regards accident insurance, the students shall be under the rules in force drawn up by the receiving university.

ARTICLE 3

The specific cooperative programmes shall be drawn up annually and  appended to the agreement.

 ARTICLE 4

Neither institution is obliged to provide financial support for this agreement.  When financial commitments are made by either party they shall be detailed in addendum to this agreement.

ARTICLE 5

1. Each structure will elects his own representative. The two representatives have to decide the research program and the relative source of funding and to verify the realisation of the mentioned aims.

2. The representatives shall draw up the annual work calendar and deal with unsettled questions. They shall meet alternatively at both institutions unless otherwise stated.

ARTICLE 6

The agreement shall be passed by each institution's Government Bodies and signed by their principals. The agreement shall came into effect from the moment of signature.

ARTICLE 7                                                                                               ,

This agreement will be automatically in force for the entire duration of tax week events.

ARTICLE 8

The agreement may be denounced by any of the parties at any time provided a three month notice is given.

ARTICLE 9

Any modification to the agreement, made with the consent of both institutions, shall require the same proceedings which were taken for the drawing up of the agreement.

The present agreement is signed in two valid originals, in English, by the
representatives of the two parties involved .
