Universidade Nacional Timor Lo Rosa'e

Marco Pacetti, Rector of the Università Politecnica delle Marche and Benjamim de Araùjo e Corte-Real/ Rector of Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e,
deming the deveiopment of direct cultural and scientific co-operation to be mutually advantageous to both Institutions and in order to strengthen such co-operation, agree on the following:
FIRST CLAUSE
The present protocol of intentions has as the main objective to estabiish an academic and cultural cooperation between both Universities.
SECOND CLAUSE
The co-operation shall be carried out through;
a)exchange of teaching, researching and technical personnel for workshops, seminars common research and teaching courses, including Doctorate;
b)exchange of students within integrated study programmes;
c)exchange of information, documentation and scientific publications; The scientific project and the program of activities.
THIRD CLAUSE
The research and exchange activities mentioned in the previous clause should be carried out at both Univepsltiesr according to programmes and projects, officially approved for each case.
FOURTH CLAUSE
Both Universities shall nominate a Coordinator inside the University to organize the deveiopment of projects and programmes.

FIFTH CLAUSE
The development of the programmes and projects shouid be analyzed in detail by the Coordinator of each University, as mentioned in the previous clause, having in mind the mutuai interests of both Universities.
SIXTH CLAUSE
Both Universities shall endeavou^ to obtain from the international and national agencies the necessary support to carry out the present protocol of intentions as effectively as feasible.
SEVENTH CLAUSE
The lecturers, students and researches taking part in any programme shouid observe the regulations of the respective University. With regard to medicai insurance, both Universities will hold mutuai consuitations for any activity involving necessarily travelling. This will remain the policy until such time as the Universidade IMacional Timor Lorosa'e has an established medicai insurance policy.
EIGTH CLAUSE
Both Universities agree, as it is feasible according to each particular circumstance, to make available their human and physical resources.
The travelling and accommodatLon-expenses shall be discussed and agreed by means of clauses, additional to this statement of intentions.
NINTH CLAUSE
The text of the present protocol can be modified at any time by mutuai agreement between both Universities, it is valid for five years, and it shall be renewed automatically for equal periods of time.
Any modifications shall be the subject of a written communication by the interested part, observing a minimum six-moth notice, without forfeiting any action in the conditions of this agreement.

TENTH CLAUSE
Both Universities agree with the contents of this protocol of intentions and will-abide by this agreement, so that ali the necessary actìons can be carried out in order to accomplish the purposes of this protocol of intentions,
ELEVENTH CLAUSE
The present agreement becomes effective after the signing by both of the involved institutions.
The present document exists in two originate, one kept at the first University, the other at the second, having both signatures been recognised officìally as having the necessary powers to formalise this agreement.
