Course Class:  LM-29
Type: Master Degree (2 years)

The course of study in short

The Master's Degree Course in Electronic Engineering aims to train Engineers in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) able of designing, developing, programming and managing technologies, components, electronic systems and information processing in the most varied various ambitions of the industry in particular in the audio, electronic, naval and telecommunications sectors.
The fundamental and elective courses allow the student to deepen the fields of electronic and nanotechnological systems design, telecommunications, applications of electromagnetic fields and applications in the audio field.
The possibility of carrying out the internship, outside the University or inside the departmental structures, allows the student to face problems of the world of work, allowing him to acquire design skills, as well as the ability to conduct highly complex experiments with the consequent analysis and interpretation of the results.
Finally, the final exam includes a project articulated on topics related to research, design and analysis also conducted in collaboration with industries present in the area and with universities, research bodies and foreign industries.

The degree course is oriented both towards the aspects of design (process and product) and towards the productive, technological and organizational aspects of the electronic manufacturing industries and service companies in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Graduates will be able to carry out all those tasks of a design, organizational and industrial research nature that are required in the electronic production chain, from design offices to production plants, from plant maintenance and management to purchasing offices and the technical or commercial sectors.
The Master's Degree Course is also structured to provide students with an adequate cultural basis for continuing their studies in the Information Engineering Doctorate Course, mainly in the Electronics sector, but in general in the entire field of Information.
The professional figure to be trained is an engineer able to coordinate and work in a team and address and solve problems in the fields of electronics and industrial applications, using innovative methods, techniques and tools.

The Master's Degree Course is divided into courses that allow the acquisition of specific knowledge in the field of information: electronics, electrotechnics, electromagnetism, telecommunications, information technology and measurements. As part of the teachings, laboratory activities and the development of study and design activities in groups are envisaged, using software design tools.
For admission to the Master's Degree Course, students must possess both curricular requirements, i.e. they must have a three-year degree of class L-8 - Information Engineering - (D.M. 270/04), or of the class IX - Information Engineering - (D.M. 509/99), acquired at any University, or other qualification obtained abroad recognized as suitable, and with an adequate number of credits, obtained in some specific Scientific Disciplinary Sectors for each Course of Master's Degree as reported in the Academic Regulations of the Degree Programs.

At the beginning, the student can choose between four different training courses, one specialized in Electronic Systems for digital audio applications, one in Electronics for nautical applications, one in Electronic Systems and nanotechnologies and the last in Secure and intelligent communication networks. At the end of the course of study there is a curricular internship, and students can attend a period abroad, to sit exams or the final thesis.
Without prejudice to the conventional method of teaching delivery, the Degree Program makes use of e-learning platforms (Moodle - Learning Management System) for the transmission of knowledge and skills.
