Objective

The Ph.D. program in Management and Law includes two curricula. The course aims to provide a deeper insight in business and law, by means of an interdisciplinary approach in the first year and the study of more specific subjects in the following years.

The Ph.D. consists of two Curricula that enhance different disciplinary areas and allow the acquisition of cross-cutting basic skills, in the first year of study, and a marked specialization in the following years.

The Curriculum in Economic Law examines economic processes from the perspective of the legal system and the values that inspire it. In particular, the Curriculum aims to investigate, with a comparative vocation and with a closer eye on European and international law, the dynamics of the market and therefore of single contracts in a multi- and interdisciplinary perspective. Indeed, the scope of analysis to which the Curriculum is addressed pertains to some of the most current and relevant issues being studied in the disciplines of private law, administrative law, labor and tax law, and civil procedural law and arbitration, and, in particular: the discipline of contract, competition and market, also with regard to the protection of the weaker parties to the contract and the problems inherent in independent administrative authorities; the crisis of the company, including profiles concerning the protection of workers; the evolutionary profiles of tax law; the substantive and procedural protections of intangible assets; the "degiurisdialization" of disputes, with particular regard to arbitration; the intergenerational transfer of wealth.

The Curriculum in Business Economics and Management examines economic processes from the perspective of the firm and business systems (networks), declining them in the specific technical-productive, commercial and marketing, financial, organizational and administrative aspects. The criteria of analysis and interpretation are efficiency, effectiveness and economy. The scope of observation ranges from the local dimension of economic action to dynamics with an international and global character. Particular attention is given to the evolution of global competitive scenarios, the main technological dynamics, and the implications arising from choices and orientations expressed at the political-institutional and social levels (digital and ecological transition).

The educational offer includes the development of preliminary knowledge for the scientific research in the field of economics-business; the development of basic knowledge of economics-business; in-depth study of the main managerial areas (budgeting and accounting principles; planning and control; strategy; marketing; organization; corporate finance and economics of financial intermediaries) and of some sectoral areas (companies and public administration; family businesses).
