Health Assistance
The Bachelor’s Degree Course in Health Assistance aims to train health professionals in charge of prevention, promotion and health education able to carry out, with technical-professional autonomy, activities aimed at the person, the family and the community.
The graduates acquire adequate preparation in the basic disciplines, such as to allow the identification of the elements that underlie the pathological processes of the developmental, adult and geriatric age on which to focus their preventive intervention. In addition, issues relating to the methodology of research in the socio-health field, the methodology of health promotion, the specific areas of intervention in public health, aspects of economics and health policy, and the organization of health services are addressed, also with a global approach.
Of particular importance, as an integral and qualifying part of professional training, is the practical training and internship activity, carried out under the supervision and guidance of professional tutors.
The Bachelor’s Degree Course lasts three years and enabling to the profession. The access is subject to passing the admission exam. The formative activities are divided into lectures, workshops and internships. The final exam consists of a practical test (discussion of a clinical case and simulation of a care process) and a written dissertation of a theoretical-applicative-experimental nature.
