The main objective of the PhD Program in Human Health is to provide students with a good knowledge of the subjects chosen, the latest diagnostic techniques and the related current issues.
The PhD Program also prepares students to analyze clinical features using the most recent findings in biomorphology and translational research.
The course aims to provide the students with the expertise necessary to work in academic settings, helping them develop their communication skills through the participation in national and international seminars, courses, meetings, as well as competencies in networking and informatics, and the ability to use at least a foreign language for professional and scientific purposes.
The integrated methodology proposed in this course will enable students to learn more about the mechanisms involved in different pathologies and those needed for the analysis, management and prevention of environmental and professional health hazards, and become experts in health and safety in the workplace.
Admission to PhD programs is regulated by a public competition.
To be considered for admissions, applicants must hold a specialization / master's degree or a prior-to-reform master's degree (predating ministerial decree 509/99) or an appropriate qualification obtained from a foreign university, or expect to hold a master's degree by 31 October of the year of publication of the call.
