The Master in International Economics and Commerce (IEC) was set up in the academic year 2014-2015 in substitution of the original Master in Italian ‘Economia e Commercio Internazionale’. The new Master course is aimed at young people interested in developing the professional skills necessary for working in both the business sector and international consultancy. The course is held entirely in English and draws on a numerous/prestigious group of international Professors (in the academic year 2014-2015 6 professors from the Ohio College of Business, 1 from Northwestern University, 1 from Indiana University, 1 from ESSEC, Paris and a high official in the European Parliament). There are two special programmes built around the Master course: The Global Competitiveness Program in partnership with the Ohio College of Business and the Competitividad Global para Pymes in partnership with the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina. Both programmes set out to familiarize students with working in a team in a multicultural context.

IEC is divided into two curricula. The first, International Economics and Business (IEB), aims at training young managers to guide the internationalization process of firms by exploring new markets, managing foreign branches of multinational companies and consultancy work. This curriculum has Double Degree Agreements with the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina and with the University of Helbronn, Germany.

The second curriculum, Business Organization and Strategy (BOS), aims to train young managers to help local firms with the process of internationalization through the organization and management of the supply chain and the logistics. It is open to students with a Bachelor in the economics, management and engineering.
