Suspension of face-to-face academic activities

 

Letter to all students from the Governance of Univervità Politecnica delle Marche

 

According to the provisions of the Decree of the President of the Italian Council of Ministers for the containment of the virus Covid-19 all academic activities inside the premises of the university are suspended.

 

Access to the University facilities

Starting from March 12th 2020 students cannot acces the University facilities.

Registrar’s Offices will receive students in exceptional cases and only by appointment made by e-mail or on the phone. All requests can be sent by e-mail, phone or helpdesk  to the contacts listed at the following link: https://www.univpm.it/Entra/Servizi_agli_studenti/Segreterie_Studenti/L/1

All libraries are closed.

 

The "Politecnica Link" bus service is suspended until further notice.

 

Online teaching

On line teaching is available on the platform: https://learn.univpm.it/?lang=en

Students can directly contact their professors in order to ask for any information or advice.

 

Exams

Following the latest provisions, all exams scheduled until the reopening of the University will be held in remote. Both the professor and the students need to have at their disposal a computer or similar device with a webcam and microphone in order to share videos and audios. The exam date and the reservation of the exams will be managed through “Esse3” platform.

 

Graduations

For all the period of the sanitary emergency, the graduations will be held exclusively in remote with the possibility, for all members of the Graduation Committee, to connect from anywhere, even if they are not located in the University premises. The presence of at least two members of the Graduation Committee in the University premises has to be guaranteed, though, if possible. For all graduates who have obtained the degree in remote a celebrative event will be organised as soon as the conditions related to the Covid-19 emergency will allow it.

 

Hygienic-sanitary measures applied to safeguard the community

Actions to improve the hygienic conditions of the study, work and research areas have been applied: the frequency of cleaning and sanitation services of University restrooms and premises has been incremented; additional cleaning and sanitation services of open-to-public desks of Registrar’s Offices have been launched; devices for the hygiene and cleaning of skin have been installed, such as dispensers of disinfectant and antiseptic gel, as prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
