The course of study in short

The Degree in Electronic and Digital Technologies Engineering is a Bachelor’s Degree which aims at training engineers who can effectively entry into employment in the Information Engineering field; moreover, it provides the basic methods and tools necessary to increase and update their knowledge over time, adapting them to scientific and technological evolution. The Degree in Electronic and Digital Technologies Engineering is open to all students with a high school certificate or possess a qualification gained abroad and recognised as appropriate. A good knowledge of the Italian language, logical reasoning skills, knowledge and ability to use the main results of elementary mathematics and the foundations of experimental sciences are also required. Adequate initial preparation is verified according to the methods described in the Academic Regulations of the Degree Programs.

In particular, the degree course is oriented towards both design aspects (process and product) and the production, technological and organisational aspects of electronic manufacturing industries and service companies in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Graduates will be able to carry out all the technical and organisational tasks that are required in the electronics and digital technology production chain, from technical offices to production plants, from plant maintenance and management to purchasing offices and technical sales departments. The degree course is also designed to provide students with an adequate cultural basis for the continuation of their engineering studies in the Master's degree courses, mainly in the Electronics field, but in general throughout the Information sector.

The professional figure to be trained is an engineer able to work in a team and tackle and solve problems in the fields of electronics, digital communications and their applications in industry, using innovative methods, techniques and tools.
The degree course is divided into courses that allow the acquisition of basic methodological knowledge (mathematics and physics), also addressing economic, managerial and organisational aspects of an enterprise, and then examine in depth the topics related to specific teachings in the field of information: electronics, electrotechnics, electromagnetism, telecommunications, information technology and measurements. Laboratory activities are planned as part of the courses, in particular for the specialised ones.

During the third year there are two paths, the former aiming at specialising the students in electrical and electronic systems while the latter in digital communications. In the third year is also provided a curricular internship, and students can spend some time abroad to take exams or for their final thesis.
In addition to the conventional method of teaching, an e-learning platforms (Moodle - Learning Management System) is adopted as a support to face-to-face teaching.
