An international academically accredited course based on a combination of distance-learning and on-campus training sessions.
It is distinctively interdisciplinary with students and faculty from natural & social sciences. The training program is specifically addressed to the sector of Genetically Modified Plant (GMP) benefit and risk assessment for scientists, trainers, operators and evaluators working mainly in the areas of agronomy, genetics and biotechnology. The aim is to provide theoretical and practical experience and rules on GMP risk assessment in different cultivation conditions (mainly Balkan, Mediterranean and African areas) and for the food and feed. The program is supported though a technical cooperation project under the aegis of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
