Foreign Students Enrolment
Foreign students may enrol in study courses and international mobility programmes offered by UNIVPM.
Every year the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research set the rules regulating the access of non-EU students to Italian universities on the website: http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/.

Non-EU citizens
Every year the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research set the rules regulating the access of non-EU students to Italian universities together with the quotas of reserved places for each degree programme on the website: http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/.

This procedure do not apply:
a) to citizens from European Union Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the Swiss Confederation; from the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See, even if holding a foreign qualification;
b) to foreigners already officially residing in Italy
c) to students who hold scholarships released by European Union education, training and research programmes
Pre-enrolment on UNIVERSITALY portal
In case you need a visa to enter Italy you need to apply for pre-enrolment at our university on the UNIVERSITALY website: https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/students/stranieri
You will need to upload the following documents:
- if you intend to enrol in a Bachelor’s degree programme:
- original copy (or certified copy) and Italian/English translation of final secondary education leaving qualification, obtained after at least 12 scholastic study years10, or a fully legal substitute certificate - copy of original and Italian/English translation
- the final qualification may be accompanied by a declaration/statement released by the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA), by a declaration of official foreign institutions or by a Declaration of value (Dichiarazione di Valore) if available
- Italian language proficiency certificate (if available)
- If you intend to enrol in a Master’s degree programme:
- final diploma (if available) or provisional certificate of your Bachelor’s degree - copy of original and Italian/English translation
- certificate showing the exams taken - copy of original and Italian/English translation
- Italian language proficiency certificate (if available). In case you intend to enrol in a programme taught in English you will have to upload an English language proficiency certificate
- CIMEA Statement of Comparability/Declaration of Value/Diploma Supplement (if abvailable)
Once we will have evaluated your documents you will receive a confirmation of acceptance of your pre-enrolment through the UNIVERSITALY portal and you will be able to start the visa procedure at the Italian Embassy in your country.
In case you wish to enrol in a course taught in Italian and you do not have a certificate proving a knowledge of Italian at B2 level you will need to take a language test
Italian Language Test
In case you are a NON-EU citizen residing abroad (requiring a Visa), who wish to enrol in any programme taught in Italian and you do not have a certificate proving a knowledge of Italian at B2 level, you must sit an Italian language test to prove a CEFR B2 level knowledge of Italian.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE TEST
For the Academic Year 2020/2021 the Italian Language Test can be taken only remotely on one of the following sessions:
- 31st July 2020 at 9:30 a.m. (Italian time) – application must be submitted by 21st July 2020, 1:00 p.m. (Italian time)
- 2nd September 2020 at 9:30 (Italian time) – application must be submitted by 24th August 2020, 1:00 p.m. (Italian time)
- 24th September 2020 at 9:30 (Italian time) – application must be submitted by 14th September 2020, 1:00 p.m. (Italian time)
In order to take part in the remote Italian Language Test candidates must fill in and send the following application form
to the email address international@univpm.it within the above mentioned deadlines.
The online Italian language test will involve a combination of MICROSOFT FORMS (for the exercises) and ZOOM for the identification of the candidates and the necessary invigilation.
The test will last 1 hour.

Exemption is granted to:
- Students who intend to enrol for a degree programme run entirely in English;
- Students holding a certificate which exempts them from the Italian Language Test and from the admission quotas set for non-EU citizens residing abroad, as specified in Part III of the current Ministerial Procedures (Paragraph 1.2 ) http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/ ;
- Students holding a certificate which exempts them from the Italian Language Test but not from the admissions quotas set for non-EU citizens, as specified in Part III of the current Ministerial Procedures (Paragraph 1.1 ) http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/;
Visa application
Once the pre-enrolment application has been approved by the university through the UNIVERSITALY portal students can apply for visa at the competent Italian consular diplomatic mission in their country. The visa procedure may vary according to the provisions issued by the individual Italian embassies and consulates abroad and it is the candidate's responsibility to inquire about specific procedures and deadlines.
In any case the procedures for issuing these visas must be concluded, unless otherwise indicated in the future, by 30 November 2020
