Issue of statements of comparability and verification of foreign qualifications

In order to facilitate and speed up the retrieval of the necessary documentation for enrolment in its study courses, Università Politecnica delle Marche signed an agreement with CIMEA (Information Center on Mobility and Academic Equivalences - Italian center belonging to the ENIC/NARIC network) for the issue of Statements of Comparability (indicating the level of the foreign qualification with reference to the cycles of the Bologna Process and the levels of the European Qualifications Framework) and Statements of Verification (indicating that the foreign qualification was actually issued by an official body in the reference system) to international students holding a foreign qualification recognizable in Italy, with rapid deadlines and at discounted prices.

The aforementioned statements can be presented to the University offices at the time of enrolment and will be accepted as an alternative to the Declaration of value issued by Italian Embassies/Consulates and to the Legalization of the foreign qualification, according to the current national regulations and procedures.

Candidates can access the Diplome-CIMEA platform and create their own personal account; afterwards, they can contact the CIMEA experts using the free "Information Request" service or they can directly request the statements, having all the information on methods, costs and timing available in the "Services" section of the portal.

Each candidate may at any time consult directly, under the "Info" section, the contractual terms and conditions governing the service dedicated to UNIVPM. In the "Info" section, students can also find and download the "Consent Form" to be attached to the statement request, as well as the list for each country of the documentation required by CIMEA for the issue of the related statements.

The Statement of Comparability is issued within 15 working days from the date of request (complete of all necessary documents) at a total cost of 150,00 Euros (VAT included), taking into account and without prejudice the "Terms and Conditions" signed by each applicant for the completion of each service.The Verification Statement is issued within 30 working days from the date of request (complete of all necessary documents) at a total cost of 65,00 Euros (VAT included), taking into account and without prejudice the "Terms and Conditions" signed by each applicant for the completion of each service.CIMEA will release the digital version of the statements directly into the applicant’s digital Wallet, both in .pdf format and by recording the metadata in an immutable and certified manner on the blockchain. The costs of statements and of paper production of the statements and shipping to the candidate are borne by the applicant and will be activated only at the request of the latter during the procedure for requesting the statements.

PLEASE NOTE: The evaluation carried out by CIMEA is to be considered an expression of a non-binding opinion for Università Politecnica delle Marche, which will remain free to evaluate the documentation independently and in line with the Italian law.
