+ - Dispensatory Measures and Compensatory Tools

Current legislation provides for the possibility of requiring specific teaching aids to be evaluated in relation to the specifics of the individual disciplines and the purposes of the courses of study.

By the expression Dispensatory Measures we refer to a series of interventions that allow you not to perform certain performances that, due to the disorder, are particularly difficult and do not improve learning. For example, in case of written tests, there could be additional time, up to a maximum of 30 percent (50 percent in case of disability) for the performance of the test or the reduction of the number of questions (quantitative reduction that does not affect the significance of the test).

Compensatory Tools, on the other hand, are actual devices, educational and technological, that replace or facilitate the required performance in the deficit ability. These tools "compensate" for the difficulty related to the Specific Learning Disorders or disability, facilitating from performance that is not essential to the quality of the concepts to be learned. By way of example, the use of concept maps, the use of a calculator or tables/forms fall into this category.

The possibility of using Dispensatory Measures or Compensatory Tools during an exam must always be agreed upon with the teacher, for detailed information contact the Info Point.

+ - Curricular Internship
