Train + shuttle

In order to make it easier to reach UNIVPM’s buildings, you can use the shuttle service between Ancona's railway stations and Monte Dago and Torrette's campuses.

The shuttle schedule is planned coinciding with the trains timetables in those train stops.

The service is available on working days from Monday to Friday from the 15^th september 2023 and the 31^st July 2024 (except the period between the 25^th december 2023 and the 7^th January 2024)

The service connects Regional, Frecce and Intercity trains arriving at Ancona and Ancona Torrette stations with buses bound for the Ancona Torrette hospital-university hub.

With a single train+bus travel ticket that can be purchased in all Trenitalia sales channels (Trenitalia.com, App, ticket offices, selfservice, convention points of sale and travel agencies), it is possible to use daily connections to and from the "Ancona Polo Ospedaliero Universitario" location.

In the ticket booking platform of Trenitalia's sales systems, it is necessary to enter "Ancona Polo Ospedale-Università" as the arrival station to directly connect all of Italy to the Medicine campus.

Starting from January 2024, daily n. 30 city bus rides (excluding Saturdays) have also been upgraded. N. city 30 bus connects Torrette pole with Piazza Cavour every evening, from 9:40 p.m.

The rides affected by the expansion are those departing from the hospital:

• at 9:40 p.m. (arriving at 10 p.m.)
• at 10:45 p.m. (arriving at 11:05 p.m.)
• at 11:45 p.m. (arriving at 0:05 a.m.)
• at 00:45 a.m. (arriving at 1:05 a.m.)
• at 1:45 a.m. (arriving at 2:05 a.m.)

The intermediate stops, after the one at the regional hospital, are: via Metauro, via Esino, Torrette circolo Arti e mestieri, Torrette FS station, Central FS station, piazza Ugo Bassi. The final stop is in Piazza Cavour.
