Workplace Health Promotion

Workplaces that Promote Health

The program "Workplaces that Promote Health – WHP Regione Marche" is based on the principles of Health Promotion in the workplace with the primary objective of encouraging organizational changes in the workplace. To prevent chronic deseases, the aim is to make the workplace a favorable  environment to a conscious adoption of healthy lifestyles.

Correct lifestyles, in fact, represent a health priority and a challenge that involves the world of work and that can contribute to a better management of the suitability and the strengthening of human capital.

In 1948, World Health Organization defined health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

This lead to a new approach to health, which is meant as the need for health promotion between home, life and work context, as well as between the cultural, social and political climate.
