Scholarships for refugee students enrolled in master degree programmes taught in English at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Academic Year 2024/25

In partnership with UNHCR, Politecnic University of Marche grants 2 scholarships for a.y. 2024/2025 and welcome services for refugee students, thanks to the support of local partners such as, Caritas diocesana Ancona - Osimo, Rotary Club Distretto 2090 (Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo e Molise) and Comune of Ancona in agreement with Conerobus SPA.

The application is open exclusively to candidates who meet the following requirements:

1. are residing in Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe
2. have been recognized refugee status in one of these Countries, in collaboration with UNHCR
3. hold a qualification valid for the admission to the chosen master degree programme. The qualification must be issued by a higher education institution, accredited by the local government. The qualification must have been obtained not before the year 2019 and no later than 19th May 2024
4. have a grade average of at least 24/30 referred to the Italian System (Grade Point Average of at least 3.0). The conversion into the Italian GPA will be carried out according to the formula by Ministero dell’Istruzione Italiano presente sul sito: https://universitycorridors.unhcr.it/admission-criteria
5. have never been enrolled before in a degree programme at the Polytechnic University of Marche or at any of the Partner Universities
6. meet the specific admission requirements of the master degree programme of interest among:

•   Biomedical Engineering
•   Environmental Engineering
•   Green Industrial Engineering (University campus in Pesaro, 60 km from Ancona, reachable by train)
•   International Economics and Commerce
•   Food and Beverage Innovation and Management

Please note that the scholarship cannot be granted to students who have received other scholarships funded by Italian public institutions (e.g., regional scholarship).
