Matriculation procedure following admission to Master's degree courses

After the evaluation by the Commission, within the time limits set for the 1st and 2nd test, those who have obtained admission to Master's degree courses will have to submit their APPLICATION FOR MATRICULATION and PAY THE FIRST INSTALMENT within the following time limits:

  1. Students who already have a degree: By 6th November 2023 for the first admission period and by 16th January 2024 for the second admission period;
  2. Students graduating in the December session: After graduation and in any case by 16th January 2024;
  3. Students graduating in the additional session of academic year 2022/2023:

                  - for UNIVPM graduates, by 1 March 2024                   

                  - for graduates from other universities, within and no later than the seventh working day after obtaining their degree.

 

It is recommended that the information declared and printed in the application be carefully checked before the application is confirmed, as this data will be entered in the student’s career.

 

Matriculation applications must be submitted exclusively online using the procedure in the ESSE3 WEB area (Registrar’s office– Matriculation).

After entering the required data, the applicant must print and sign the application.

Then, upload the following mandatory documents to the online matriculation procedure on the Esse3web portal within the deadlines established by the Registar’s office, scanned separately in pdf format:

  1. matriculation application, signed by the candidate, together with a copy of a valid ID document (front and back) in a single PDF file;
  2. a digital ID photo showing only the face on a neutral background (students must upload this when filling out their matriculation application - JPEG or BMP format, resolution 200dpi, maximum size of about 400 kb but in any case less than 1 megabyte);
  3. Italian tax code;
  4. copy of residence permit or copy of study entry visa for non-EU students residing in Italy and for non-EU students residing abroad;
  5. for graduates from other universities: declaration in lieu of certification made pursuant to art. 46 of Presidential Decree 28.12.2000 No 445, duly signed and certifying the degree class, degree grade, marks for individual exams, credits obtained, academic disciplines and the year of first entry into the Italian university system;
  6. for international candidates and national students who graduated abroad: certificates indicated in art. 6.
  7. for candidates with a disability/invalidity or SLD, please attach further documentation in the relevant section: a copy of the certificate issued by the local health authority showing the type of disability and/or degree of disability recognized, or the documentation regards SLD, dated in the last three years (if issued before 18 years of age).

 

Caution: All the above steps are mandatory, if you fail to upload the required files, matriculation will not be finalised.

 

 

International students

Assignment of Student ID number

The student ID number is assigned by the Registrar’s Office after receiving the matriculation application and checking it. For complete applications, you will receive an automatic e-mail – to the e-mail address you indicated in the on line matriculation procedure – with your student ID number and instructions on how to access the personal area on the Esse3web platform. Warning: Always check spam or junk mail as well. 

 

Tip: Don't wait until the last few days to enrol! Otherwise, you may not be able to access the online services of the University in good time, as the assignment of the student ID number is not immediate.

 

Study plan

Deadline: From 1st to 30th November 2023

  • Students already matriculated for the Master's degree course will have to enter their personal area and present their study plan by the deadline of 30th November, otherwise a standard plan will be assigned automatically.
  • Students who have applied to be assessed in the 2nd test, or are awaiting graduation in the December or February session, will have windows to present their study plans after 30th November.
