The course of study in short


 

The degree programme in Electronic Engineering aims at training engineers in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. ICT is a driving force of economic growth. Both its added value and employment, in fact, are growing at rates that are higher than those of the total industrial sector.

The programme intends to train engineers who are able to work in a team and tackle and solve problems in the electronics and telecommunications sectors using innovative methods, techniques and tools.

The degree programme is organised in courses that enable students to acquire basic methodological knowledge (mathematics and physics), also touching on the economic, managerial and organisational aspects of a company.

Topics related to courses specific to information are studied in-depth: electronics, electrotechnics, electromagnetism, telecommunications, information technology, automatic controls.

The programme also includes internships in companies (also abroad) and a language course.

Design, management and organisation of electronic systems. Graduates in Electronic Engineering will be able to carry out their activity in collaboration with other professional figures working in the field.

Freelance work, subject to passing the qualification exam and enrolling in the Professional Engineers Register, manufacturing companies, service companies and public administrations. In particular, graduates will be able to perform activities related to the design of components, devices and electronic and optoelectronic systems, the management and organisation of manufacturing companies, the management and organisation of telecommunications services, the design and management of electronic infrastructures for the transmission and processing of information. Graduates will be able to continue their studies with a Master’s degree in the information area and with a 1st level Master.
