HR Excellence in Research

On 11 January 2023, the Università Politecnica delle Marche launched the HRS4R - Human Resources Strategy for Researchers - process required by the European Commission, with the aim of implementing the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment regarding the working conditions of researchers and the selection and recruitment procedures at all career stages.

The University is committed to complying with the principles of the Charter and the Code, in line with its own values, mission and strategic planning, and has taken the necessary steps to obtain the "HR Excellence in Research Award" from the European Commission. This award recognises the quality of the university's research environment and the initiatives taken to support researchers' activities and career development.

Involving the entire community of UNIVPM researchers, PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, as well as technical and administrative staff, the university carried out a detailed internal analysis - through the administration of a questionnaire - to determine the current understanding of C&C principles and to assess the level of compliance of UNIVPM's policies and practices with these principles. The results of the questionnaire were then incorporated into the GAP analysis and later used to develop an action plan - to be implemented over the next 24 months - aimed at improving the implementation of C&C principles at the Università Politecnica delle Marche.

On 19 December 2023, the documents required in the first phase of the procedure were approved by the Academic Bodies.
